Stay Golden (Homework)

My reason for choosing these images is because of the various shapes, colors, and the simplicity they possess. Just like any other art pieces, they seem to have a story behind each one of them. In Blaine Fontana's art piece, he uses a good amount of value and lines. My favorite out of all these images is the piece by Erik Otto. He's very simple in the shapes he uses and the colors aren't overwhelming. He has a soft look to the image and there's so many things happening in it that each time I look I find something new-making his art "mysterious-like."

First Draft of T-shirt!

(By the way, these aren't the real colors I'm going to use, but for some reason this is how they loaded).

Artist Statement

The purpose of our project was to capture something the public normally views as “uncool” and design a way that would make it “cool.” As a group we came up with the idea of making cardboard, which normally isn’t “cool” and come up with a way for it to grab the audience’s attention and make them want to buy it. We did this by coming up with the idea of making 5 separate posters with a cardboard box that has items that are usually associated with cardboard coming out of it. For our ingenious idea, we came up with creating three separate random objects that could look appealing to the eye and still had to do with our cardboard ideas.
